It should be noted that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Pakistani immigrants living in Washington, DC, during his official visit to the United States. He praised the role of overseas Pakistanis and said that overseas Pakistanis are the ambassadors of the country.

The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department had stated that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was warmly welcomed by overseas Pakistanis, and a large number of overseas Pakistanis gathered to meet the Army Chief.

Overseas Pakistanis paid rich tribute to the outstanding performance of the armed forces, their bravery and professionalism during Operation Bunyan Marsaw.

On this occasion, the Army Chief praised the role of overseas Pakistanis, describing them as true ambassadors of Pakistan. He praised their high performance in the Pakistani economy, Pakistan’s good reputation internationally, remittances, investment and other sectors.

Overseas Pakistanis also shared their experiences and suggestions with the Army Chief. General Asim Munir called continuous communication and cooperation with them the need of the hour and emphasized on addressing common challenges and promoting mutual cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a renewed resolve and commitment, with the Army Chief and Overseas Pakistanis reiterating their commitment to work together for a secure, prosperous, and strong Pakistan.
