
The True Post( Web news)The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has adopted the Tehran Declaration, which highlights efforts to cooperate in artificial intelligence for sustainable development among member states.
According to sources, the declaration issued after the conclusion of the second ministerial meeting of the OIC 15 Dialogue Platform in Tehran described the goal as ‘trusted and ethical artificial intelligence for sustainable development’.
The meeting was attended by high-level delegations from Brunei, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey and Qatar. The joint document emphasizes cooperation in AI education, research, infrastructure, governance and technology transfer.
The declaration states that member countries are committed to an AI-ready ecosystem, talent mobility, public-private partnerships, and the exchange of best practices.
The declaration also calls for investment in AI startups, fellowships, training programs, and innovation forums, encouraging joint research to address common challenges such as healthcare, climate change, food security, and water scarcity.
