The True Post(Web News)Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a high-level commission to review the losses incurred during the Indo-Pak war.
According to the announcement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed Interior Secretary Muhammad Khurram Agha as the head of a 15-member high-level commission, while DG FIA Rafat Mukhtar was appointed as the convener. The commission also includes the Additional Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir, Secretary Home Punjab and others.
In addition, DIG Operations Punjab Waqas Nazir, DIG Security Kamran Adil, DIG Special Branch Azad Kashmir Hassan Qayyum have been appointed as members of the commission. Prosecutor General Punjab Syed Farhad Ali Shah, DGIC Human Rights are also part of the commission.
According to the announcement, the commission will submit its report to the Prime Minister within 30 days. The commission will collect data on civilians martyred and injured during the Indo-Pak conflict and obtain evidence under international law related to crime scenes.
The statement said that the high-level commission will also lead the preparation of the forensic report. The commission will have full authority to examine any additional evidence. The Ministry of Interior will be obliged to provide full facilities to the commission. The commission will also obtain information about the structure and mechanism of Indian weapons.
Sources say that the commission will also collect information regarding India’s violation of international laws.
