The True Post (Web News)At least four people were killed and 13 injured during violent clashes in Gopalganj, the hometown of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The area is known as a stronghold of her party, the Awami League.
Dr. Abu Saeed, a local health official, confirmed that the deceased had sustained gunshot wounds, while most of the injured were also shot and are being treated at local hospitals.

Hasina, currently in India, faces accusations of ordering a deadly crackdown against protesters, which reportedly left over 1,400 dead.
The Election Commission has removed the Awami League’s symbol from its website and suspended all party activities pending court orders.
