
The True Post(Web News) The 78th Independence Day is being celebrated with national enthusiasm across the country. Independence Day was welcomed with great enthusiasm at 12 midnight in small and big cities of Pakistan.
Citizens took to the streets, the atmosphere echoed with the slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”, small and large rallies and various cultural shows were organized, citizens played bhangras to the beat of national anthems and drums. This morning began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21 in the provincial capitals, while prayers were offered in mosques for the stability and prosperity of the country. On the occasion of Independence Day, government and residential buildings, highways, roads and various places across the country were decorated with electric lights, while at 12 midnight the sky lit up with colors and lights from fireworks.
Rallies, processions and musical shows were also held in cities, while children and adults came out of their homes carrying national flags and badges and raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”. Celebrations will be held across the country on the occasion of Independence Day, in which the determination to defend the country and strengthen the economy will be expressed while paying tribute to the great struggle of the founders of Pakistan. The main event of Independence Day will be the change of guards at the Quaid-e-Azam shrine, after which various political and social figures will attend the Quaid-e-Azam shrine to pay tribute to the struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A defense exhibition will be held at the Parade Ground in Islamabad today, which the public will be allowed to enter. The nation has reiterated its resolve that if India commits any kind of aggression, it will be given a united and forceful response. Apart from this, Pakistanis living around the world will also celebrate the 78th Independence Day with national enthusiasm, while special ceremonies will also be held in embassies.
