Canada’s Wonderland Introduces Chaperone Policy for Underage Guests

The True Post (Web News)Canada’s Wonderland has announced a new chaperone policy ahead of its annual Halloween Haunt event this fall, aimed at ensuring guest safety and maintaining a family-friendly environment.

Starting September 26, 2025, any guest aged 15 or younger will be required to enter the park with a chaperone who is at least 21 years old. The new rule will be enforced daily from 6 p.m. onward, though the park reserves the right to implement it earlier if needed.

Under the policy, a single chaperone may accompany up to 10 minors at a time and must remain with them throughout their entire visit. Guests who are 16 years or older may be asked to present government-issued photo identification to verify their age, and entry may be denied if they fail to provide valid ID.

In a public statement, Canada’s Wonderland emphasized that safety has always been its top priority:

The decision follows growing concerns about crowd management and visitor safety during large-scale events like Halloween Haunt, which typically attracts tens of thousands of thrill-seekers.

This year’s Halloween Haunt will run from September 26 to November 1, operating from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. It will also be open on Sundays from September 28 to October 26, and on Thursdays from October 16 to October 30.

While some families welcomed the move as a necessary step to improve safety, others voiced concerns about accessibility for younger teens who may not always have an available guardian to attend. Nevertheless, park officials insist the policy is designed to balance guest enjoyment with public safety and will be closely monitored during its rollout.
