The True Post (Web News) A senior official of the American technology company Microsoft has warned that
Artificial intelligence (AI) could replace white-collar workers in particular in the next 12 to 18 months, which is likely to cause major changes in the global job market. In a recent interview, Mustafa Suleyman, head of the company’s AI division, said that AI is developing very rapidly and is now able to perform tasks that were traditionally performed by office staff. According to him, many tasks such as writing reports, analyzing data, preparing emails, coding and research are now being automated.
Typically, “white-collar” employees include office staff, accountants, customer service representatives, legal assistants, analysts and IT support people. Experts say that if AI continues to advance at this pace, the nature of work in these sectors could change significantly.
According to Mustafa Suleyman, companies will quickly adopt AI tools to reduce costs and increase efficiency. This process may result in some jobs being eliminated entirely, while many roles will change to suit new requirements.
