The True Post — Pakistan has strongly rejected recent remarks made by India’s Defence Minister, calling the statements provocative and misleading while reaffirming that the country is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and national security against any aggression.
In an official statement issued on Monday, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that any attempt to misrepresent facts or undermine regional stability would be firmly challenged through diplomatic and legal channels.
Pakistan Reiterates Position on Kashmir
The Foreign Office stated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains an internationally recognized issue and continues to be on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.
According to the statement, comments suggesting otherwise distort internationally acknowledged facts and ignore existing UN resolutions concerning the disputed territory.
Islamabad Responds to India’s Allegations
Pakistan said that what it described as unsubstantiated allegations from India are intended to divert international attention from developments in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The Foreign Office argued that aggressive rhetoric risks increasing tensions in South Asia and could undermine regional peace and stability.
Pakistan Says It Is Prepared to Defend Its Security
Reaffirming the country’s defence posture, the statement said Pakistan remains fully committed to protecting its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens.
Officials emphasized that Pakistan should not be underestimated and stated that the country possesses the capability and determination to respond to any act of aggression if necessary.
Tribute to the Armed Forces
The Foreign Office noted that Pakistan’s armed forces and its people have demonstrated resilience and commitment during previous national security challenges.
It added that the country’s defence institutions remain prepared to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and respond to any threat in accordance with national interests.
Call for International Attention
Pakistan urged the international community to closely monitor developments in the region, arguing that escalating rhetoric and regional tensions require responsible diplomacy and adherence to international law.
The statement also called on global stakeholders to support efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in South Asia.
Reference to United Nations Resolutions
The Foreign Office reiterated that the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir is reflected in relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan urged the international community to continue supporting efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute through dialogue and in accordance with international commitments.
Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Peace
Concluding its statement, the Foreign Office said Pakistan remains committed to promoting peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
However, it stressed that the country would make no compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or national security, while continuing to pursue peaceful solutions to regional disputes through diplomacy.
