The experienced right-arm pacer achieved the milestone during the first Test against the West Indies in Tarouba, delivering another clinical bowling performance that further cemented his reputation as one of Pakistan’s most accurate red-ball bowlers.
Abbas Becomes Pakistan’s Most Efficient Test Fast Bowler
Mohammad Abbas claimed six wickets across both innings against the West Indies, including the dismissals of Brandon King, Keacy Carty, and Justin Greaves in the second innings.
With those wickets, Abbas reached 115 wickets in just 30 Test matches, improving his career bowling average to 22.78.
The remarkable average means Abbas has overtaken Imran Khan, whose legendary Test career ended with 362 wickets in 88 matches at an average of 22.81. Former speedster Waqar Younis now sits behind them with a Test bowling average of 23.56 among Pakistani fast bowlers with at least 100 Test wickets.
