The participants discussed the progress of the talks and the situation surrounding the long march. According to sources, the meeting was informed that the federal government could potentially take various measures against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and PTI if the march proceeds.
Concerns Over Possible Government Measures
The meeting also considered the possibility that the long march could further increase tensions between the federal and provincial governments.
Participants discussed whether the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government could face political or administrative challenges as a result of the protest.
The leadership also reviewed different options for avoiding possible government action while keeping the political dialogue process open.
Proposal to Postpone the Long March

Meeting with Imran Khan Included in Government Negotiations

PTI’s Political Strategy
The meeting also focused on linking the future of the long march with the ongoing negotiations.
PTI leadership discussed keeping the dialogue process open while retaining the option of continuing with the long march.
Sources said the party leadership also agreed that its next political strategy would have to be carefully considered in view of possible government measures.
Meeting with Imran Khan Becomes Key Issue
Following Sohail Afridi’s position on the matter, a meeting with Imran Khan has emerged as a key issue in determining the future of the long march.
Party leaders reportedly emphasized that major decisions, including postponing or cancelling the march, should not be taken without consultation with the PTI founder.
Future of PTI’s Long March
The future of the PTI long march is now closely linked to the outcome of negotiations with the federal government and the party’s efforts to secure a meeting with Imran Khan.
The extent to which the demand for a meeting with Imran Khan is addressed during the negotiations could play a role in determining PTI’s next course of action regarding the march.
According to PTI leadership, the party intends to keep the negotiation process open. However, any final decision regarding the long march is expected to be taken after consultation within the party leadership and with Imran Khan.
