Fans of South Korean K-pop group BigBang have created a massive online ticket rush ahead of the group’s highly anticipated return to Singapore, with the virtual queue reportedly surpassing 300,000 people on the first day of ticket sales.
BigBang is scheduled to perform at Singapore’s National Stadium on October 17, 2026, as part of its XX: Cosmos concert tour. The group’s return to Singapore comes nearly a decade after its previous performance in the country, generating huge excitement among both longtime fans and a new generation of K-pop followers.
Ticket Queue Surges Past 300,000
Ticket sales began at noon on Tuesday, August 11, for eligible VIP members. Almost immediately, the number of fans waiting in the virtual queue surged.
Reports indicated that the online queue exceeded 300,000 people within a short period. Fans also shared screenshots of their queue positions across social media and fan communities.
Some fans claimed they received queue numbers exceeding 500,000, although the exact number of people in the queue was not officially confirmed by the ticketing platform.
VIP Presale Draws Massive Demand
The August 11 presale was primarily intended for fans with an official B.stage VIP membership who had completed the required survey.
Despite these requirements, some fans reported being able to enter the virtual queue without completing all the stated conditions, raising questions among fans about the actual number of people waiting for tickets.
The huge demand highlighted the continued popularity of BigBang, particularly in Southeast Asia.
Fans Face Technical Problems
Some fans also reported technical difficulties while attempting to purchase tickets.
One fan said that despite reaching a queue position of around 8,000, the required verification option did not appear during checkout, eventually preventing the purchase from being completed.
Such reports added to frustration among fans already facing intense competition for the limited number of tickets.
VIP Tickets Sell Out Within Minutes
Only minutes after sales began, Ticketmaster reportedly informed fans in the queue that VIP Ultimate packages were no longer available.
However, organizers said additional tickets would be released during the general sales period, meaning fans who missed out during the first stage may still have another opportunity to secure tickets.
General Ticket Sales Begin August 13
Following the VIP presale, another sales phase will be available for Trip.com members, with sales scheduled to begin on August 12 at 10 a.m.
General ticket sales will then open to the public through Ticketmaster on August 13 at 10 a.m.
Ticket prices are expected to range from S$158 to S$498, depending on the seating category and package.
BigBang Returns to Singapore After Nearly 10 Years
The Singapore concert is particularly significant because BigBang last performed in the country in 2016 during its Made VIP fan meeting tour.
After almost a decade away, the group’s return has generated excitement among longtime supporters while also attracting younger K-pop fans.
The enormous demand for tickets demonstrates that BigBang continues to have a powerful fan base even after years of changes within the K-pop industry.
XX: Cosmos World Tour Begins in South Korea
BigBang’s XX: Cosmos world tour is scheduled to begin in South Korea.
The group is set to perform three consecutive concerts at Goyang Stadium from August 21 to August 23, before continuing to other international destinations, including locations in the United States and Europe.
The Singapore concert will serve as an important Asian stop on the group’s global tour.
BigBang currently consists of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, and the group’s return has been widely anticipated by K-pop fans around the world.
New BigBang Single Coming Soon
Fans also have new music to look forward to ahead of the Singapore concert.
BigBang is scheduled to release a new single titled “Biiig” on August 19, adding even more excitement to the group’s comeback activities.
With a new song arriving just weeks before the Singapore performance, anticipation surrounding the group has continued to grow.
The virtual ticket queue of more than 300,000 people on the first day of sales provides a clear indication of the enormous interest surrounding BigBang’s return and the enduring influence of one of K-pop’s most recognized groups.
