A Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto has met with representatives of the Pakistani Caucus in the US Congress.
The delegation termed India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty as a clear violation of international law and said that for lasting peace in South Asia, there should be dialogue between India and Pakistan, not war.
The event, held at the Cannon House Building across from Capitol Hill, was hosted by Congressman Tom Swasey, a Democrat from New York.
Also present on the occasion were Republican caucus member Jack Bergman and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. The event was also attended by figures from the American Pakistani community, including Pakistani American Democrat Ijaz Alvi.
A Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto visited the renowned American think tank CSIS in Washington, where they presented Pakistan’s point of view in a discussion.
Bilawal Bhutto also attended the event organized by Americans for Tax Reform, where he expressed his gratitude to President Trump for facilitating the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
Bilawal Bhutto said that peace will open doors for trade, reduce conflict and save billions of American taxpayer dollars. Let’s let diplomacy do what war can never do for the world, including South Asia.

In an interview with Chinese media, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has offered India to create a joint platform where incidents of terrorism can be discussed. There should be a forum that investigates not only Pahalgam but all terrorist attacks.
Bilawal Bhutto said that there is a long list of India’s involvement in terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. There should be a forum where both countries can present their case because to eradicate terrorism, its root cause must be reached.
On the question of whether both sides claim to have won the war, Bilawal Bhutto said that the answer to who won the war is clear from who kept lying and hiding the facts from the public during and after the war.
The delegation’s activities, which will continue until June 6, include meetings with Pakistani community leaders living in the United States
