Calgary Stampede 2025 Expected To Set New Attendance Record On Final Weekend

The True Post(Web News) The Calgary Stampede, one of the world’s largest cultural and entertainment festivals, has entered its final weekend.

Day 9 set a new precedent for the city’s excitement, enthusiasm and colour. 128,304 people attended the park on Friday, bringing the total attendance for 2025 to over 1.2 million. That’s up 20,000 from last year, and this year’s Stampede is on track to break its previous attendance record of 1.47 million.
Cultural Highlights: Powwow Held
at the Scotiabank Saddledome, the Calgary Stampede Powwow treated visitors to captivating performances by First Nations dancers and drummers from across Canada and the United States. The powwow will run from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 12 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free with a park ticket.
Music Resonance:
World-class concerts continued throughout the day at the Coca-Cola Stage, Big 4 Roadhouse and Nashville North Stage, with performances by many well-known artists including Alesso, Duke Dumont, Tom Morello, Chayce Beckham. At 10 pm at GMC Stadium, a grandstand show led by Caroline Dawn Johnson and the Young Canadians was presented, which was watched by thousands of people.
Sensational competitions:
Rodeo and Chuck Wagon Racing The traditional rodeo competition began at 1:30 p.m. and the evening show at 7:30 p.m., followed by relay racing to entertain the spectators. Jamie Labokin performed brilliantly in the chuck wagon race and came close to the chainsaw. “The rodeo and evening show had a 99 percent turnout, and the excitement continues to grow with each passing day,” said Julie Forget, Stampede Communications Manager.
