Canada Global(Web News)Canada, debate organized by the Muslim Advisory Council, Conservative candidates did not participate in the debate.

Canadian Muslim voter organizations jointly invited candidates from all parties for the Canadian Parliament to debate in their city of Milton and surrounding areas. In the debate, organized by the Muslim Advisory Council of Canada, each candidate was given 2 minutes to express their position and take turns answering a question asked in the same manner.
Two candidates from the Liberal Party and the NDP, as well as an independent candidate, participated in the debate. The candidates expressed their positions and answered numerous questions on various topics, including Gaza. However, no election candidate from the Conservative Party of Canada participated.
In the debate, both candidates for the NDP, led by Canadian Sikh Jagmeet Singh, reiterated the party’s manifesto and spoke about the betterment of the average Canadian, while an independent Muslim candidate, instead of taking a ticket from a political party, said that independent candidates are candidates so that they can express their views without being constrained by political loyalties. Adam, a current Liberal Party MP and election candidate, called Gaza a human tragedy and injustice when asked about it.
Lawyer Christina, a Liberal Party candidate from another constituency, also called her constituency’s Pakistani and other Muslim voters an asset. A member of the organization organizing the debate said the debate was aimed at bringing up local issues, highlighting Islamophobia and ensuring that the Pakistani community and their families process Canadian visa applications in Islamabad instead of Dubai and Delhi.
