The True Post (Web News) Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Bahawalpur Garrison, where he witnessed military exercises based on modern technology and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, the Chief of Defense Forces was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing operational, training and administrative activities at the Bahawalpur Garrison. The briefing particularly highlighted the preparations for multi-domain warfare, which reflect the all-round preparedness of the armed forces in the changing war environment.
During the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir observed the Field Exercise Steadfast Resolve held at Khairpur Tamiwali (KPT). The exercise demonstrated the practical use of modern warfare technologies, including the integration of unmanned aerial systems (drones), advanced surveillance equipment, electronic warfare resources and modern command and control systems. The exercise was a clear demonstration of the Armed Forces’ focus on technology-based multi-domain operations.
Addressing the soldiers, the Chief of Defence Forces appreciated their high morale, professionalism and high operational readiness. He said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of dealing with all kinds of internal and external threats and are always ready for the defense of the country. He also stressed on maintaining a high level of readiness in view of future security challenges and changing battlefield requirements.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir pointed out that Pakistan’s armed forces are currently undergoing a major transformation, where the nature of warfare is changing rapidly and modern technology is driving this evolution. According to him, as a result of this transformation, a fundamental change in thinking and strategy at all levels has become inevitable.
He said that in the future, technology-based strategies will replace traditional physical maneuvers and completely change the methodology of offensive and defensive operations. In this context, Pakistan’s armed forces are rapidly adopting modern technology, where innovation, local preparation (indigenization) and practical compatibility have been declared as the main pillars.
Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the Rohi e-Skills Learning Hub (STP), which aims to provide digital skills and modern learning opportunities to students, especially in South Punjab and across the country. He also inaugurated the Army Public School Abbasia Campus, which symbolizes the Pakistan Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.
Later, the Chief of Defence Force visited the EME Regional Workshop, where he was briefed on the maintenance and sustainment system for modern military platforms, which is being implemented through a combination of modern technology and local manufacturing.
Upon arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, Commander Bahawalpur Corps welcomed the Chief of Defence Forces. On this occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial, recited Fateha and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.
