The True Post (Web News) According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 63 more Palestinians were killed and more than 300 injured in the latest Israeli military operations, including at least four children.
The deaths came as hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets in various cities, including the Israeli capital Tel Aviv, against Prime Minister Netanyahu. Thousands of citizens gathered in Tel Aviv’s “Hostage Square” and demanded the immediate release of their loved ones who are still being held by Hamas. Families say that the lives of the hostages are in further danger as the fighting intensifies, so the government should immediately hold talks. According to Israeli officials, 49 people are still being held by Hamas, of whom only 22 are reported to be alive.
Among them are two American citizens. The families say that “this is probably the last chance to save lives.” In Tel Aviv’s “Habima Square,” Jewish and Arab citizens joined together to chant for a ceasefire. The demonstrators held banners and pictures showing the hungry and innocent faces of Palestinian children. The slogans were: *“Stop the genocide, stop the killing of children from Gaza to Jenin.”
A nationwide strike began in Israel in which millions of citizens participated. The strike was announced by the “Hostage and Missing Families Forum” and the “October Council,” which aimed to gather a million people not only in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square but throughout the country. Meanwhile,
police arrested a 61-year-old woman in Tel Aviv who chanted “Sacrifice your life for Gaza.” The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has officially confirmed the famine in northern Gaza.
