Cyber security experts have released a list of the most popular or worst passwords of 2023 which is surprising. This list was released by a company called NordPass. According to the list, 123456 is the most popular password. If this is your is also a favorite password, so know that every year for a decade it has been awarded the most popular/worst password in some company’s list. Similarly, admin came in second and 12345678 in third place.
123456789 and 1234 are ranked 4th and 5th respectively. 1234 is ranked 6th, password 7th while 1234 is ranked 8th worst password. AA123456 came in at number 9 in the segment while 1234567890 took the honor of being the 10th most popular password. UNKNOWN came in at number 11 followed by 1234567 and 123123 at number 12 and 13 respectively.111111, password, 12345678910, 000000 , admin123, ******** and user are the 14th to 20th worst passwords, respectively.
The company said that 18 of the top 20 passwords require one second to crack. Remember that the password for each online account should be different and try to make it as difficult as possible.
