Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Holds Important Meeting With Nawaz Sharif In Geneva

  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold various important meetings here. The Prime Minister has reached his residence in central London. During his stay, he will meet British officials, the Pakistani business community and will address a function of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation on Saturday. Before arriving in London, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a short stay in Geneva, Switzerland, where he met former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. According to sources, Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif about the details of the historic Pak-Saudi Arabia defense agreement. The agreement is being seen as a new chapter in military cooperation between the two countries. Nawaz Sharif is currently in Geneva for medical treatment but is likely to come to London in the next few days.
 According to reliable sources, federal ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif and Atta Tar have also arrived in London with the prime minister. After Britain, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit the United States, where he is likely to meet US President Donald Trump.
 Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Asim Iftikhar said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the United Nations General Assembly during his visit to the United States. On this occasion, he will present Pakistan’s position, which will include Kashmir, Palestine and other conflicts in the Middle East, especially the attacks on Qatar. The Prime Minister will also attend a special meeting that is being called on the situation in Gaza. According to the Pakistani delegate, the resolution to recognize Palestine as a state has received almost a third of the votes, which has further increased pressure on Israel and its allies. He said that the Prime Minister will present Pakistan’s clear and unequivocal position on this issue.
