The True Post(Web News) According to Ukrainian officials, Russia launched an unprecedented airstrike on Ukraine on Thursday, launching 574 drones and 40 missiles.
The attack killed one civilian and injured at least 15 others. According to foreign media, the Ukrainian Air Force claimed that 577 of the 614 missiles and drones launched were successfully destroyed. Experts say that the attack was the largest and most intense airstrike since July.
The operation came at a time when US President Donald Trump is leading diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that he is ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin directly in a neutral European country, such as Switzerland or Austria. According to reports, President Trump recently met with Putin in Alaska, while also consulting with Zelensky and European leaders at the White House. Trump says that if necessary, he can join direct negotiations. It should be remembered that Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and still occupies about 20 percent of Ukraine’s territory, including the Donbass region and Crimea.
