Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir said that Israel’s crimes and serious human rights violations in Gaza are a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter. He said that we must all work together to end the suffering of the Palestinian people. Adel al-Jubeir reiterated Saudi Arabia’s position against the forced transfer of Palestinians and also called for a ceasefire in Gaza. He added that Saudi Arabia rejects any proposal or solution that does not meet the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people for their right to self-determination and independence, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders. It should be noted that this statement came at a time when US media claimed yesterday that the Trump administration was working on a plan to permanently transfer one million Palestinians from Gaza to Libya. A former US official said that the US has also discussed this plan with the Libyan leadership.
