Tenth Spell Of Monsoon In Punjab, Fear Of Torrential Rains And Flash Flooding

According to the department, heavy rains are expected in most districts of the province between September 6 and 9, and flash flooding is also possible due to overflowing of rivers and canals at some places.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, the districts where rains are most likely during the fresh spell include Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot in the central and eastern districts, Narowal, Hafizabad, Okara, Sahiwal, Kasur in the southern and western districts, Sargodha, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Rajanpur. The department clarified that flash flooding may occur due to a sudden increase in water flow in the rivers and canals of Dera Ghazi Khan division between September 7 and 9.
