Trump emphasized that discussions are ongoing but remain inconclusive.
In the same media talk, Trump addressed Britain’s conditional recognition of Palestine as a state, stating it was not discussed in detail with UK leaders. He criticized the move, saying, “Recognizing Palestine now would be equivalent to rewarding Hamas,” and added, “The U.S. is not part of the camp that has recognized a Palestinian state.”
Regarding Israel, Trump said his administration would engage directly with the Israeli government to ensure humanitarian aid, especially food supplies, is distributed fairly and not stolen by Hamas. “Israel doesn’t want Hamas to intercept aid or misuse the funds,” he added.
On Russia, Trump mentioned that Moscow has not responded to the new peace deadline, and confirmed that new tariffs targeting the Russian economy will come into effect within 10 days.
Looking toward the end of the year, Trump hinted at a possible meeting with China’s President, saying, “I expect to meet him soon.”
Lastly, the former president reiterated his earlier stance on Pakistan-India tensions, mentioning once again his willingness to mediate in ceasefire efforts between the two nations.
