Uk Helicopter Crashes During Training Flight, 3 Dead

The True Post  (Web News) A helicopter crashed during a training flight on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom, killing three people, including the pilot, on the spot and seriously injuring one person.

According to British media, the helicopter took off from Sandown Airport at 9 am for a training exercise. The flight operator, Northumbria Helicopters, confirmed that there were four people on board, including the pilot. Authorities say the plane crashed into a field near a road in the Shanklin area just 24 minutes after takeoff. Rescue services immediately arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and closed the nearby road to traffic.
The cause of the helicopter crash is not initially known. The UK’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched an investigation and experts have been sent to the scene to collect evidence. The injured passenger has been taken to hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
