World’s first smart stroke ambulance introduced in Mecca

The True Post(Web News) Saudi Arabia has taken a revolutionary step in the field of health and safety during Hajj 2025 by introducing the world’s most advanced smart mobile stroke ambulance, which provides on-the-spot stroke diagnosis and initial treatment.

According to the Sabq website, this mobile unit has been introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Health for pilgrims in Mecca. It is the first mobile stroke ambulance of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, equipped with modern technology along with a full medical team.

The ambulance includes a vascular neurologist, critical care nurse, CT scan specialist and ambulance technician. This team is capable of performing brain examinations and immediate treatment without transporting the patient to the hospital, which greatly increases the chances of saving the life of a stroke patient and making a full recovery.

The ambulance is equipped with CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, carotid artery imaging and other advanced diagnostic equipment, which helps in timely identification of early signs of stroke and prompt intervention.

This facility is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s interest in modern medical technology to ensure the safety, timely treatment, and life-saving of pilgrims during Hajj.
