The True Post(Web News) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while discussing the tragic incident in Swat, has said that instead of giving it a political color, the matter should be examined with truth and honesty.
He visited the National Emergencies Operation Center, where he was briefed on the potential flood risks arising from the monsoon rains and the strategy prepared to deal with them.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the 2022 floods caused severe devastation in the country, destroying thousands of houses and destroying crops. He said that the role of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is very important in timely awareness of the dangers.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the Swat incident needs to be viewed not from a political perspective but purely on humanitarian grounds. He said that many precious lives were lost in this tragedy, the entire nation shares this grief. All the relevant institutions must work together to prevent such tragedies.
The Prime Minister also said that our enemy is trying to use water as a weapon, but we will thwart these conspiracies. He clarified that the Indus Waters Treaty cannot be terminated unilaterally and we have to be vigilant to thwart the intentions of the enemy.
