The group, led by a former Mossad chief, a former Shin Bet chief and a former deputy IDF chief, has requested that Trump pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the war. “We demand that you end the war in Gaza, you did it in Lebanon, now it is time to do the same in Gaza,” the letter says. The former security officials also made it clear that Hamas no longer poses a significant threat to Israel, in their opinion.

Israeli military operations are currently ongoing in Gaza, and on Sunday, another 92 Palestinians were martyred, including 56 people waiting for aid.
