Initial investigations have revealed that the construction of the roof was almost complete and the craftsmen working on the project belonged to other states, while the construction stone was imported from Rajasthan.
Experts believe that possible delay in securing the pillars or technical lapses could be a major reason for the accident, however, the final reasons will be determined after a detailed investigation. The Yeshwadi temple is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Parbhani district, where thousands of devotees visit every week. The local administration has ordered an inquiry into the incident while the construction quality and safety measures are also being reviewed to avoid such tragedies in the future.
