North Korea Accuses NATO of Expanding War Preparations Through European Fuel Network Plan

The True Post (Web Desk) — North Korea has accused NATO of increasing its military readiness for future conflicts, alleging that the alliance’s plan to expand its fuel supply infrastructure across Europe signals a shift toward a more aggressive military strategy.

According to a commentary published by North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), NATO’s reported plans to modernize and extend military fuel pipelines and storage facilities across Europe are intended to strengthen its ability to support large-scale military operations during times of conflict.

Pyongyang argued that the project goes beyond improving logistics and instead reflects NATO’s long-term preparations for potential military confrontations. The commentary claimed the alliance is building strategic fuel reserves capable of supporting rapid deployments across multiple regions.

North Korea also accused NATO of expanding its influence beyond Europe by increasing military cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. It alleged that the alliance has been deploying strategic military assets and participating in joint exercises with countries it considers hostile to North Korea, particularly around the Korean Peninsula.

The statement further criticized NATO member states for taking part in multinational military drills, including the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. According to Pyongyang, such activities demonstrate that the alliance increasingly views the Asia-Pacific as an important area for future military operations.

North Korea warned that expanding military logistics and strengthening defense infrastructure could increase geopolitical tensions and raise the risk of future conflicts, not only in Europe but also in other strategically important regions.

NATO, however, has consistently maintained that its military posture remains defensive. The alliance says its infrastructure investments and operational planning are designed to deter potential threats, improve the readiness of member states, and ensure collective security rather than prepare for offensive military action.

The latest exchange of accusations comes amid growing geopolitical tensions and continued debate over NATO’s expanding security role in both Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
