Gold prices rose further in both international and Pakistani markets on Tuesday, with gains in the global bullion market pushing local prices higher.
According to the latest market data, the international price of gold increased by $24 per ounce, reaching $4,373 per ounce. The rise in global bullion prices was reflected in Pakistan’s local gold markets, where prices also moved higher.
24-Karat Gold Becomes More Expensive
The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 2,400 per tola in Pakistan’s local markets.
Following the increase, the new price reached Rs. 459,736 per tola.
Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by several factors, including international bullion rates, fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar and domestic market demand. As a result, changes in international gold prices can quickly affect local rates.
10-Gram Gold Price Also Rises
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased on Tuesday.
According to market data, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 2,058, reaching Rs. 394,149.
The latest increase adds to the cost for consumers purchasing gold for jewellery, particularly during wedding and festive seasons when demand for gold traditionally increases.
Global Market Keeps Gold Prices in Focus
Gold remains one of the world’s most closely watched precious metals and is widely regarded by investors as a safe-haven asset.
Its price can be influenced by several factors, including global economic conditions, interest-rate expectations, currency movements and geopolitical developments.
With gold trading at elevated levels internationally, investors and consumers are closely monitoring the market for signs of further price movements.
Gold Becomes More Expensive for Pakistani Buyers
With the local price of 24-karat gold reaching Rs. 459,736 per tola, gold has become increasingly expensive for Pakistani consumers.
Families purchasing jewellery for weddings and other important occasions are facing higher costs as gold prices continue to fluctuate.
For investors, the recent rise has also increased attention on gold as an asset during a period of uncertainty in global financial markets.
What Could Move Gold Prices Next?
Market participants are expected to continue watching international bullion prices, movements in the Pakistani rupee and developments in global financial markets.
Any significant change in the international price of gold could have an impact on Pakistan’s local market. However, domestic rates will also depend on currency movements and local supply and demand.
The latest increase once again highlights the strong connection between international bullion markets and gold prices in Pakistan, with both investors and consumers closely watching the direction of prices in the coming days.
