The True Post (Web News) A series of attacks against Muslim religious and educational institutions continues in India.
In the city of Ghaziabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh, a madrasa was demolished while two other madrasas were closed on charges of encroaching on government land. According to Indian media, the administration has claimed that the madrasa in question was established on government land, due to which action was taken against it. However, the madrasa administration says that the institution has been registered since 2000 and all its legal documents are complete and correct. According to the report, the head of a Hindu organization has demanded that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also take bulldozer action against the famous Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband, after which a wave of concern has spread in Muslim circles.
On the other hand, after the ban imposed on a mosque in the city of Dehradun in the state of Uttarakhand, some extremist elements started Hindu religious rituals outside the mosque, which has led to intense debate and reaction at the local level. Muslim organizations and social activists have expressed concern over these measures and said that actions against religious and educational institutions are increasing the feeling of insecurity among minorities.
On the other hand, the authorities maintain that all actions are being taken in accordance with the law and regulations. However, critics say that such measures can affect religious harmony and increase social tension in the country. According to political and social observers, recent events have once again sparked a debate about the rights of minorities and religious freedom in India.
