Azad Kashmir Declares Joint Awami Action Committee as Banned Organization Under Anti-Terror Law

The True Post (Web News)The Home Department of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an important notification declaring the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee a proscribed organization.

According to the notification, all groups operating under names such as “Jammu Kashmir Action Committee,” “Joint Awami Action Committee,” and “Awami Action Committee” have been placed in the first schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2014.

The Home Department stated that the organization has been declared a threat to peace and order in the region. It has been accused of undermining state security, spreading unrest, creating fear among the public, and increasing social instability.

The notification further states that based on available evidence, the group has been found harmful to public order, leading to the official decision to ban it.

It also mentions that the President of the state has approved this decision, and legal action will be taken against the organization under the relevant laws.

To ensure that the group’s activities are fully restricted in all forms, all alternative names of the organization have also been included in the ban.

The notification has been sent to all relevant departments, including the Ministry of Interior, Chief Secretary, Police, District Administration, and security agencies to ensure immediate implementation.
