The True Post(Web News) The United States could potentially declare a unilateral ceasefire and Israel is considering the American option, Israeli officials claim.
According to the Times of Israel, Ronen Bergman, a prominent journalist for the Israeli news agency YNet, revealed that current and former senior officials in Israeli security agencies have said that the United States is considering the option of declaring a unilateral ceasefire in Iran. According to the report, the Israeli position was that the survival or destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities was no longer “that important” because as long as Israel and the United States have air superiority over Iran, they can attack at any time if Iran enriches uranium again or launches missiles. According to the report, Israeli officials said that if the United States declares a unilateral ceasefire and Iran violates it, Israel and the United States could launch joint attacks on Iran’s key facilities or energy infrastructure. The report also said that if Iran abides by the ceasefire, Iran will present it as its victory that it forced the United States and Israel to bow down.
The report further states that on the other hand, the US and Israel will take the position that they have eliminated the Iranian nuclear threat, thus this option could provide both sides with an opportunity to avoid conflict. It should be noted that US President Donald Trump had announced in his post on ‘Truth Social’ that the US had completed a ‘very successful attack’ on the Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities in Iran.
In his post, Donald Trump said that the Fordow nuclear site was our main target and it has been completely bombed and the plant has been destroyed. On the other hand, Iran announced a full response to the US attack, saying that the timing and nature of the response will be decided by Iranian forces.
