Date: September 22, 2026 The True Post (Web News) —Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan’s armed forces remain committed to defeating terrorism and contributing to lasting peace and stability across the country.
Field Marshal Munir made the remarks during his visit to Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Tuesday, where he was briefed on the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing counterterrorism operations, border management measures and the operational preparedness of military formations deployed in the province. Briefing on Security Situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir received a comprehensive briefing on the security environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The briefing covered ongoing counterterrorism operations, measures being taken to strengthen border management and the preparedness of formations deployed in different parts of the province.
The visit comes amid continued security concerns in the province, with security forces carrying out operations against militant groups and maintaining heightened vigilance along the country’s western border. (Dawn)
Focus on Operational Preparedness
During the visit, the military leadership also reviewed the operational preparedness of formations deployed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
