
The True Post(Web News)Pakistan has strongly criticized the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, warning that such actions will further escalate tensions in the region. The country has called on the United Nations Security Council to take immediate measures to de-escalate the situation and has reaffirmed its unreserved support for Iran’s right to self-defense.
An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council was convened to address the crisis. A resolution proposed by Russia, China, and Pakistan demanded an immediate ceasefire, strict observance of international law, protection of civilians, and emphasized the necessity of negotiated solutions.
During the session, Pakistan’s representative, Asim Iftikhar, remarked, “Thank you for calling this emergency meeting.” He condemned the U.S. strikes as violations of UN resolutions, reiterated Pakistan’s support for an unconditional ceasefire, and emphasized the importance of giving diplomacy a chance in line with the UN Charter.
