Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to protecting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha Airport. He also expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and injuries suffered by civilians as a result of the attacks.
Tribute to Saudi Armed Forces
Shehbaz Sharif praised the readiness and professionalism of the Saudi armed forces and allied forces, commending them for thwarting multiple ballistic missile attacks.
The prime minister said Pakistan remained committed to safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security. He added that Pakistan would stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in confronting threats to its security.
Reaffirmation of the Joint Defence Agreement
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security under the joint defence agreement between the two countries remained unwavering. He expressed Pakistan’s full support for Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right to defend its people, cities and critical infrastructure.
He also called on the Houthi militia to immediately halt its attacks on Saudi Arabia.

Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that Pakistan would continue supporting Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Expressing solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people, the prime minister said Pakistan would remain alongside Saudi Arabia as it confronted security threats facing the region.
