According to Alberta RCMP, the incident occurred Thursday afternoon when hikers were walking along a popular hiking trail when a landslide struck. Police were called to the scene at around 1:30 p.m., and teams from the fire department, STARS Air Ambulance, and Parks Canada quickly arrived on the scene. “Initial reports indicate there were multiple hikers involved, and there is a risk of fatalities.” The incident occurred near Bow Glacier Falls, 37 kilometers north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway.
