Date: October 6, 2026 The True Post (Web News) —Iran has issued a strong warning to Bahrain and other countries in the Gulf region, urging them not to allow their territory, military bases or airspace to be used for any military action against Iran.
Iran has made it clear that if any country allows such an operation in the future, Tehran will not hesitate to respond.
The warning comes at a time when security conditions in the Gulf region have drawn increased attention amid tensions between Tehran and the United States. Iran’s position is that using the territory or military facilities of any country in the region for operations against Iran could further escalate regional tensions.
Statement at the United Nations
Iranian Second Secretary to the United Nations, Ali Karimi Maqam, presented Tehran’s position while speaking at the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly.
Responding to a statement by the Bahraini representative concerning human rights, he said that Bahrain’s position had ignored the circumstances and events that had led to the current situation.
The Iranian diplomat also rejected Bahrain’s position of describing itself as an affected party in the current situation, saying that the developments needed to be viewed in their complete context.
Allegations Against Bahrain
Ali Karimi Maqam alleged that Bahrain had allowed its territory, military bases and airspace to be used for an alleged U.S. operation against Iran.
According to the Iranian representative, after a country provides its territory and other facilities for military action against a neighbouring country, there should be no surprise about the possible consequences that may follow.
In his statement, he criticized Bahrain’s role and said that countries should consider the regional consequences of decisions concerning the use of their territory.
