Iranian Foreign Minister Contacts Pakistani Leadership, Discusses Regional Situation

The True Post (Web News) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi made a telephonic contact with Pakistan’s political and military leadership and discussed the regional situation and ceasefire issues.

According to the Iranian news agency, Abbas Araqchi held separate talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Field Marshal Asim Munir.

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that during the conversation, the foreign ministers of the two countries discussed the current situation in the region and issues related to the ceasefire. They also discussed the ongoing diplomatic efforts by Islamabad in US-Iranian relations. Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of continuous dialogue to resolve issues and said that immediate progress is essential for peace and stability in the region.

The spokesperson added that Abbas Araqchi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and positive role and the two leaders agreed to remain in touch. On the Pakistani side, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir are in constant contact with the US and Iran, among other countries, to advance efforts for a ceasefire and peace in the region.
