 The True Post (Web News  Prime Minister Mark Carney announced his new cabinet at a swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Tuesday (May 13). It is the start of his first full term.

 

The new cabinet consists of 28 ministers and 10 secretaries of state. There are 24 new ministers, 13 of whom are first-time MPs. The cabinet includes 11 women and 13 men.

Carney has brought back the position of secretary of state. In the past, these positions were sometimes called junior ministers.
