Considering the ceasefire announcement as just a paper one, the Zionist forces bombed not only Gaza but also southern Lebanon, killing at least 7 Palestinians while several buildings were reduced to rubble in the blink of an eye. According to eyewitnesses, bombs began to fall in various residential areas of Gaza early in the morning without any prior warning. Several streets in Rafah echoed with the smell of gunpowder, screams and the sounds of people buried in the rubble. Aid workers say that several families were completely wiped out, and many people, including children, are still feared buried under the rubble.
Palestinian officials say that the Israeli attacks were carried out in a highly targeted manner, in which several residential blocks were reduced to rubble in a single day. The Israeli army claimed that a Hamas commander was targeted during the operation in Rafah, however, according to local residents, the affected areas were completely populated.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health once again tried to shock the international community, saying that Israeli attacks continue even after the announcement of the ceasefire agreement – so far 360 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 900 have been injured. The total number of martyrs since the beginning of the Gaza war has exceeded 70,000, which has become a heartbreaking chapter in modern history. On
the other hand, the Israeli Air Force also bombed several places in the border areas of Lebanon. Four residential buildings were reduced to rubble in the blink of an eye. Israel maintains that the target of these attacks was Hezbollah’s alleged weapons depots, but locals say that the bombing targets were civilians and peaceful settlements, as always.
The atmosphere of fear and uncertainty in the region is becoming increasingly intense, while human rights organizations are interpreting this new series as a continuation of war crimes. The world powers are still silent, and the displaced, injured, and beleaguered citizens of Gaza and Lebanon, awaiting the attention of the international community, are once again feeling left behind by a forgotten, unconscious conscience.
