Canadian singer Tate McRae has maintained her position at the top of the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 for a second consecutive week with her hit song “Housewife,” further demonstrating her popularity in the Canadian music industry.

The Calgary-born artist has achieved another major milestone as “Housewife” continues to dominate the country’s music chart for the second week in a row.

The song held the No. 1 position last week and has now retained the top spot once again. McRae previously reached No. 1 on the Canadian Hot 100 in 2023 with her track “Greedy.” This means she has now topped the chart with two different songs.

A New Musical Direction with “Housewife”

In “Housewife,” McRae presents a different take on the traditional image of a homemaker. The song’s lyrics highlight themes of independence, wealth and the freedom to live life on one’s own terms.

The track was also produced with contributions from Ryan Tedder and Grant Boutin.

Other Artists Make Their Mark on the Chart

Meanwhile, Canadian singer Cameron Whitcomb’s song “Kingdom of Fear” has made a notable comeback, climbing to third place on the chart.

American singer Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds the second position.

McRae’s latest achievement further strengthens her position in Canada’s music industry. Her earlier hit “Greedy” had already gained international popularity, while the continued success of “Housewife” marks another important milestone in her musical career.
