Canada Global(Web News)Colleges in Ontario want the province to immediately lift the ban on tuition fee increases for five years.
Colleges Ontario says they want the province to allow them to raise tuition fees by five per cent for next September. Along with this, a 10 percent increase in operating grants is also being demanded. Ontario colleges also want the government to end restrictions on enrolling more students in programs.
Last week, an independent panel found that colleges and universities across the province are struggling financially. Colleges and Universities Minister Jill Dunlop said the government was reviewing the report.
