The Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister made it clear that relations with Israel will not be established until the establishment of a Palestinian state. In addition, he described the Arab Initiative as a framework for a just and equitable solution.
The Saudi Foreign Minister called for an immediate end to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, saying that Saudi Arabia and France have provided $300 million in aid to Palestine from the World Bank. In his address, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa called the conference an opportunity for peace. He said that the two-state solution is a historic opportunity for all and it is a message to the Palestinians that the world stands with them. The Palestinian Prime Minister called for political unity in the West Bank and Gaza and called on Hamas to surrender to the Palestinian Authority.
