The True Post (Web News) – Military tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated once again after the U.S. military announced that it carried out a series of airstrikes targeting dozens of military sites linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation was launched in response to an alleged Iranian ballistic missile attack on U.S. forces a day earlier. The claims have not been independently verified.

According to local reports, explosions were heard early Thursday morning near Qeshm Island. Officials in Hormozgan Province reportedly said one location near the strategically important island was struck around 4:00 a.m. local time.
Qeshm Island sits in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical maritime routes for global energy shipments, making any military activity in the area closely watched by international observers.
Reports of Missile Strikes Near Abadan
Iran’s Fars News Agency also reported missile strikes near the city of Abadan in Khuzestan Province, citing a local official.
Abadan is an important oil-producing region and home to key energy infrastructure. Any military activity in the area raises concerns about possible disruptions to energy production and regional stability.
U.S. Says Strikes Responded to Alleged Iranian Missile Attack
American officials said the latest airstrikes were carried out in retaliation for an alleged Iranian ballistic missile attack targeting U.S. forces the previous day.
