Date: October 1, 2026 The True Post (Web News) —Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has said that 22 militants were killed in successful airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan.
According to the ministry, a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition stored at the targeted locations was also destroyed during the operation.
Two Locations Targeted
According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, terrorist hideouts associated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were targeted at two separate locations in Afghanistan. The operation was carried out with a high degree of precision on the basis of verified intelligence information.
The ministry said that weapons and ammunition present at the hideouts were also destroyed, reducing the militants’ operational capabilities.
Protection of Civilians
The statement said that the protection of civilians was given special priority during the operation. Maximum precautions were taken to prevent harm to the civilian population.
The ministry said the operation was conducted in a manner intended to avoid civilian casualties. Pakistan reiterated that the safety and protection of civilians remain its foremost priority during counterterrorism operations.
Operation Continues
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that operations against militants are continuing under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq. Pakistan is targeting terrorist hideouts and safe havens located in Afghanistan.
According to the statement, security forces and law enforcement agencies are continuing their operations to address the threat of terrorism.
Threat from Afghanistan
The ministry said Pakistan faces a terrorism threat originating from Afghanistan and expressed concern over Afghanistan continuing to serve as a hub for terrorist activities.
According to the statement, Pakistan has repeatedly pursued efforts to eliminate terrorism and promote peace and stability in the region. However, the presence of safe havens for militants in Afghanistan remains a major concern for Pakistan’s national security.
Commitment to Peace
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting emphasised that Pakistan has consistently worked towards peace and stability in the region.
Reiterating that civilian safety remains a fundamental priority, the ministry said all necessary measures are being taken to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the country.
According to the ministry, operations by security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam.
Fight Against Terrorism
The statement further said that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq would continue at full pace until terrorism allegedly carried out with foreign sponsorship and support is completely eliminated.
According to the ministry, security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating terrorism and will continue operations against militant elements.
The ministry reaffirmed that state institutions would continue fulfilling their responsibilities to protect Pakistan’s territory and citizens from terrorism while maintaining efforts to establish peace and stability.
