Field Marshal Asim Munir Concludes Iran Visit, Backs Regional Peace Efforts

The True Post(Web News)Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has successfully concluded a three-day official visit to Iran, during which both sides agreed on joint efforts for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir held an important meeting with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, where bilateral relations were discussed in detail. He also met Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, with focused discussions on lasting peace and the regional security situation.

The Field Marshal additionally met the Commander of the Khatam-al Anbiya Headquarters, where the evolving regional situation was reviewed.

ISPR stated that all meetings emphasized the importance of de-escalation and peaceful resolution of disputes. Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening fraternal relations with Iran. Special attention was given to the changing regional security dynamics, ongoing diplomatic engagement, and joint efforts to promote long-term peace and stability in the region.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the need for dialogue, de-escalation, and continuous diplomatic efforts to resolve issues peacefully. He appreciated the hospitality extended by the Iranian leadership and people, and conveyed good wishes and goodwill messages from the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the people of Pakistan to the Iranian leadership.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s firm commitment to resolving regional conflicts through dialogue and promoting peace, stability, and prosperity across the Middle East.
