Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit to Tehran, saying Pakistan is playing an important role in efforts to reduce tensions and promote peace in the region.
According to the Iranian spokesperson, discussions during the visit are expected to cover matters of mutual interest as well as ways to expand cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in various fields.
The visit has been described as part of continued efforts to further strengthen the close relationship between the two countries.
