In its statement on X, the government of Pakistan said that the international community recently witnessed unprovoked aggression by India against Pakistan, which was a serious violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including women, children and the elderly.
The statement said that in exercising its fundamental right to self-defense, Pakistan launched Operation Banyan Marsus, which was a deliberate, strong and precise military response and was carefully executed to defend its territorial integrity, while also ensuring that the lives of Indian civilians were not harmed.
According to the Pakistani government statement, during the war in the region, President Trump showed foresight, effectively communicating with Islamabad and New Delhi, reducing tensions, and saving South Asia from a potential major conflict between the two nuclear powers by arranging a ceasefire on May 10, 2025. This ceasefire is a testament to his role in establishing peace and resolving issues through dialogue.

The Government of Pakistan not only appreciates but also acknowledges President Trump’s sincere efforts to assist in a lasting solution to the long-standing issue of Kashmir. The Kashmir dispute is a threat to regional security. Lasting peace in South Asia is not possible without the implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolution on Jammu and Kashmir.
The government said in the statement that President Trump’s leadership clearly demonstrates the continuity of his legacy of pragmatic diplomacy and effective peacebuilding during the 2025 Pakistan-India crisis. Pakistan hopes that his sincere efforts will continue for regional and global stability, especially for ending the ongoing crises in the Middle East.
It should be noted that the US President has demanded a Nobel Prize for ending the war between Pakistan and India.
Talking to the media, he said, “Give me a Nobel Prize for Rwanda, Congo, Serbia, and Kosovo. Only liberals get the Nobel Prize, but these people won’t give it to me.”
