ISLAMABAD: Pakistan produced another outstanding performance to defeat South Korea 4-3 in the third Test match, securing an unassailable 3-0 lead in the four-match series.
The victory marks Pakistan’s third consecutive win and reflects the team’s impressive form as it continues to build momentum on the international stage.
South Korea Took an Early Lead
The visitors started the match aggressively at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium in Islamabad. South Korea broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when Kim Hyun Jung converted an early opportunity, giving his side a 1-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Despite creating several chances, Pakistan failed to capitalize before the opening period ended.
Pakistan Responded in the Second Quarter
Pakistan came back strongly after the break. Hayat Zakaria scored an excellent field goal to level the match at 1-1, bringing the home crowd to life.
However, South Korea regained the lead in the 33rd minute when Jeong Ji Hoon found the back of the net, making it 2-1.

The third quarter produced thrilling hockey as both teams exchanged attacks.
Pakistan equalized once again through Rana Waheed, who scored in the 45th minute to make it 2-2.
South Korea quickly responded, with Kim Yang restoring his team’s advantage shortly afterward, putting the visitors ahead 3-2 heading into the final quarter.
Pakistan Completed a Stunning Comeback
The Green Shirts produced a remarkable finish in the final quarter.
Hannan Shahid equalized in the 55th minute with a well-taken goal before Abdul Rehman struck the decisive winner just two minutes later, giving Pakistan a 4-3 lead.
The home side defended brilliantly during the closing minutes to deny South Korea any chance of an equalizer.
Pakistan Clinches the Series
The victory gives Pakistan an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the four-match Test series, meaning the final match will only determine whether Pakistan can complete a clean sweep.
