Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa Observes Kashmir Black Day

The True Post (Web News)The Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa marked Kashmir Black Day to commemorate India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani community, human rights activists, and supporters of the Kashmiri cause.

Speakers highlighted that the day serves as a reminder of more than seven decades of Indian oppression in the occupied valley and reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering diplomatic, moral, and political support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Special messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were shared, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem emphasized solidarity with Kashmiris who continue their struggle despite Indian atrocities, urging the international community and human rights organizations to hold India accountable and to play their role in achieving a peaceful settlement.

Similar events were also held at Pakistan’s Consulates General in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
